Sophia and Miles had a playdate last night. Anne and I had been meaning to get some pictures of them in their matching People of Hope onesies, and since they were both in good moods last night, the time finally seemed right. Without further ado, a visual tour…
The babies started out on the floor, where Sophia promptly began pawing Miles’ face and grabbing for his hair:
We then moved to couch #1. While it looks like Sophia is telling Miles a secret in this picture, don’t be fooled. She was actually licking his head!
Sophia finally stopped mauling poor Miles momentarily…at least long enough to get this cute shot.
Both babies became distracted momentarily…
…but it wasn’t long before the fun began again, as Sophia took it upon herself to give Miles’ the blessing of close friends. (OK, she was really trying to lick his head again…)
I believe it was just after that shot when Sophia channeled her inner Olympian (perhaps inspired by the TV coverage of late) and did a beautifully executed forward roll off of the couch. Thankfully she fell right into her mama’s waiting arms, where she landed with a flourish and a big smile. Crazy girl!
We took this opportunity to move to couch #2. It wasn’t pretty, people….the proof is in the picture. Meet Sophia the Bully.
Sadly, that wasn’t the end of the bullying, although it did mark the end of the photos. Just after Soph tried to push Miles off of the couch, she grabbed a handful of his hair and tugged, making the poor boy cry out for his mama. Poor little buddy!
Oh, what funny babies we have! This surely won’t be the last time they push each other, pull each other’s hair and make each other cry. (Wait, Miles didn’t do any of that. Ah, my daughter the bully.) But I’m confident that, at the end of the day, no matter what fight they may have, they’ll remember what great friends they are!

So cute! They look like quite the pair. Looks like Miles is sure catching up in size, and my theory is that they may be a couple for life since a) Soph is picking on him which I think means she’s crushing on him and b) Miles seems to tolerate it well which means he’s getting very smart very young. They’re a hoot!
They are adorable!!! Soph will sure be able to hold her own against Wyatt now. At least Wyatt can get away now (not that anyone in their right mind would want to leave that sweet face!) I can’t believe how much they have both grown.
“Into her mama’s waiting arms” … Are you contending for Mother of the Year or what?? All of my stories like this end with a trip to the orthopedics office.
